Welcome to the RenewMI Project Viewer!
This project viewer contains past and present projects from the Remediation and Redevelopment Division (RRD). RRD addresses environmental risks at properties where hazardous substances have been released into the soil or groundwater. The projects in the viewer are a mixture of sites where RRD is directly overseeing the environmental remediation efforts, and sites where a brownfield grant and/or loan has been provided to incentivize economic development. In-progress projects are represented by blue dots on the map and completed projects are represented by green dots. This viewer does not contain all of RRD’s project sites, and new sites will be continually added to the viewer.
To view a project, you click on a point on the map or click on a project from the list. You can search and filter projects using the top bar of the project list. The list changes depending on the the extent of the map, so click on the home icon on the map or the "See All Projects on the Map" bookmark at the bottom of the map to reset. When you click on a project, you have the option to "Read Project" where you can learn more about the project and see related pictures. Many sites have multiple pictures and you can cycle through them by using the left and right arrows on the sides of the images.
