The map above shows where either a conservation zone is proposed or a change is proposed. The area outlined in red shows the extent of WLEP2000.

With this tool you can:

  • View the criteria used to determine the proposed change to zoning
  • View the permitted land use changes
  • View maps from contributing studies

Note: The above map generally excludes existing conservation or waterway zones within waterways including Pittwater (Station Beach, Palm Beach; and Careel Bay). As per the Zoning Methodology for Park or Conservation Areas, existing land or waterways that are zoned C2 will remain C2 unless identified for a change to be consistent with the categorisation of a plan of management.

Thresholds and exceptions:
Bush Fire Criteria affects more than 50% of site
Bush Fire Criteria affects less than 50% of site
High Flood Risk Area affects more than 50% of site
High Flood Risk Area affects less than 50% of site
Both the Medium and High Flood Risk Area (Hazard) affect the entire site
The site is within a Flood Risk Area (Hazard) however it does not meet the thresholds for inclusion in a C3 zone
Flood Hazard manually added due to inconsistencies in mapping
Flood Hazard removed due to updated draft flood study
The HEV Criteria affects less than 30% of the site
The HEV Criteria affects between 30 - 70% of the site
The HEV criteria affects more than 70% of the site
The HEV criteria (in Rural Areas) or HEV and/or MEV criteria (in Low Density Residential Areas) affects less than 50% of the site
The HEV criteria (in Rural Areas) or HEV and/or MEV criteria (in Low Density Residential Areas) affects more than 50% of the site
Excluded Bushland site: HEV criteria was not applied as the site was found to contain either significant infrastructure or cleared or fragmented bushland
Surrounded Site: Site or group of 2 sites is surrounded by other proposed conservation zones so a C4 zone is applied
Isolated Site: Site or group of 2 sites is isolated from other proposed conservation zones so a conservation zone is not applied

The definitions of the terms within the land use table are outlined in the Dictionary of the Standard Instrument—Principal Local Environmental Plan (Standard Instrument LEP), unless if they relate to the Warringah LEP 2000 (see separate dictionary).

Council has taken all possible steps to ensure the accuracy of information contained in the above table. Separate confirmation of land use permissibility should be undertaken by reviewing the relevant Local Environmental Plan (see Warringah Local Environmental Plan 2000 or Standard Instrument LEPs: Manly Local Environmental Plan 2013 or Pittwater Local Environmental Plan 2014 or Warringah Local Environmental Plan 2011).
